Florence Lessard, M.Ed.

Florence Lessard is a doctoral student (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in work and organizational psychology, under the supervision of Professor Geneviève Taylor, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research focuses on self-compassion among professionals undergoing career transitions. As part of her dissertation, she is collaborating with the non-profit organization Quatre-Chemins, which specializes in therapeutic support for professional athletes, veterans, and other professionals in career transition. In addition to her doctoral studies, Florence has been working clinically since 2022 as a specialized educator, and 2024 as a junior practitioner in an eating disorder clinic. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education from McGill University, where she conducted a research project on strategies used by professors to support student motivation in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Hannah E. M. Winter, MPhil

Hannah E. M. Winter is a doctoral student (Psy.D.) in psychology, under the supervision of Kaspar Philipp Schattke, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research, at the intersection of clinical and organizational psychology, focuses on mental health in response to the shifting demands of technological disruption. Her doctoral project investigates how AI anxiety favours intrapsychic conflicts such as career-related action crises and explores whether mindfulness may play a moderating role. Hannah holds a B.Sc. in psychology from the University of Geneva and spent a year on exchange at McGill University. She also has a background in interdisciplinary social and political sciences and holds a BA (Hons) from the American University of Paris and an MPhil from the University of Oxford. Prior to her doctoral studies, she conducted research on the social implications of new technologies as an analyst for organisations such as the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and Wikimedia. Hannah also works as a research assistant at the 3M lab.

David Garred, B.A.

David Garred is a doctoral student (Psy.D.) in work and organizational psychology, under the supervision of Kaspar Philipp Schattke, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Aside from his interest in both clinical and organization psychology, he has a particular curiosity for the effects of mind-body practices such as yoga and meditation on the mind. His research focuses on the effects of yoga on self-access, namely, the degree to which one truly knows oneself internally and can thereby recognize one’s true desires, values and motivations. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at Concordia University, where his thesis explored the effects of interpersonal psychotherapy and intranasal oxytocin on autobiographical memory recall.

Marie-Hélène Labelle, B.Sc.

Marie-Hélène Labelle is a doctoral student (Psy.D.) in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal, under the supervision of Kaspar Philipp Schattke. Her main research interests lie in work and organizational psychology. Her doctoral research focuses on the mental health of farmers in Quebec. She is also involved in the 3M Laboratory as a research assistant. Marie-Hélène is active in student life as vice president of academic affairs for AGEPSY-CS (the Graduate Student Association in Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal). She also serves as the student representative for the work and organizational psychology section. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a semester abroad at the University of Strasbourg in France, for which she received a mobility scholarship. In addition, she was awarded another mobility scholarship to attend a summer school organized by the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Laurence Landry, B.A., B.Sc.

Laurence Landry is a doctoral student (Psy.D.) in work and organizational psychology, under the supervision of Kaspar Philipp Schattke, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research interests focus on self-compassion and the challenges workers face in pursuing their career goals. Laurence completed an undergraduate honours thesis in psychology on environmental performance, eco-anxiety, and career action crisis. She also holds a B.A. in communication and marketing and worked in that field for over six years, including two years with francophone non-profit organizations in British Columbia.

Andreea Gavrila, B.Sc.

Andreea Gavrila is a doctoral candidate (Ph.D.) in Work and Organizational Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is passionate about understanding optimal human functioning in performance contexts and the process of goal disengagement, interests that form the foundation of her academic research. Andreea earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2020. Her current doctoral work explores the multifaceted nature of goal disengagement, seeking to answer questions such as when we can truly say that someone has fully disengaged from a goal. Her broader research interests encompass three key themes—goal pursuit, passion and motivation, and sustainable performance and well-being. Aspiring to work as a consultant, Andreea is particularly driven by a desire to help individuals and organizations achieve their goals sustainably by applying empirical evidence and psychological research to real-world challenges.

André St-Jacques, M.Sc.

André St-Jacques is a doctoral candidate (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in educational psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. He previously completed an honours bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in experimental psychology at McGill University in the McGill Human Motivation Lab. As his doctoral research project, André is interested in the sacrifices that students in healthcare fields make in order to pursue their goals, and whether certain sacrifices lead to burnout. He is also interested in mindfulness and motivation as protective factors against burnout. André is pursuing a career where he can combine clinical work, teaching, and research and is currently working as a course lecturer at Vanier College.

Ethan Katz-Zeitlin, B.A.

Ethan Katz-Zeitlin, a doctoral candidate (Ph.D/Psy.D) in work and organizational Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal, possesses a diverse academic background. His honors research explored leadership paths for Quebec school principals, and he further enriched his expertise through studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, research with Dr. Kehr at the Technical University of Munich, and consulting with Peter Berry Consultancy in Sydney. Under the supervision of Dr. Schattke, Ethan’s doctoral research examines work motivation through the 3C Model, addressing how job motivations predict fulfillment, well-being, and performance. His interests include implicit motives, greenwashing, and job commitment. Ethan also consults in talent assessment and development, employing psychometric tools, interviews, and simulations to evaluate pertinent job competences. Dedicated to sustainable practices, he supports clients in optimizing organizational effectiveness and employee potential.

Gabrielle Beaupré, M.A., c.o.

Gabrielle Beaupré is a doctoral student (Ph.D.) in education, under the supervision of Geneviève Taylor and co-directed with Kaspar Philipp Schattke, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in career counseling, with a research and intervention profile. Her doctoral thesis focuses on antecedants and outcomes of self-access during goal pursuit. Her doctoral project is funded by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Société et Culture (FRQSC). Gabrielle is interested in motivation and mindfulness, both as fields of research and for counseling. Gabrielle practices as a guidance counselor and has several years of experience with diverse clientele (students, immigrants, adults, clinical supervision). She is also a course lecturer at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Ultimately, Gabrielle aspires to contribute to the field of career counseling by combining research, intervention and teaching.

Louis-Nascan Gill, M.Sc.

Louis-Nascan Gill holds a master’s degree in psychology and is currently pursuing doctoral studies (Ph.D./Psy.D.) at the Université du Québec à Montréal. His research focuses on the practice and didactics of Mindfulness. His main objective is to facilitate the learning and teaching of meditation to vulnerable populations. Francis Beaudoin, B.Sc.

Francis Beaudoin is entering the final year of his doctorate (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in work and organizational Psychology, under the supervision of Kaspar Philipp Schattke, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. His doctoral thesis focuses on psychological harassment in the workplace and the variables that motivate bystanders to intervene in these situations. Mr. Beaudoin has also been practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapy as a doctorate under supervision for over 5 years with an adult clientele.
