Andrea-Kim Gendron, B.A.

Andrea-Kim Grendon is a master’s student (M.A.) in career counselling at the Université du Québec à Montréal, within the research and intervention stream. She began her research in the fall of 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Geneviève Taylor. Andrea-Kim’s work focuses on the impact of climate change and eco-anxiety on young people’s career decision-making process. More specifically, she seeks to understand whether self-compassion can help regulate eco-anxiety, enabling young adults to stay motivated in pursuing environmentally conscious career goals. Deeply committed to both environmental issues and the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in career counselling, she aims to integrate these values and approaches throughout her academic and professional journey.
